About The Surrey Inn - Caldwell, Texas

Family-owned hotel in Central TexasEstablished in 1962 by Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Alford, Jr., The Surrey Inn has long been a stopping point for travelers. It's located at the intersection of State Highways 21 & 36. Highway 21 at this point follows the route of the historic Old San Antonio Road, or El Camino Real, between East Texas and San Antonio. Highway 21 at this point is part of The Presidential Corridor, the link between the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station and the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin. Highway 36 is the primary artery between Abilene in the north and the port of Galveston in the south.

Founders of The Surrey Inn Hotel Motel in Caldwell, Texas
